LA CASITA Approximately:
100 miles from NYC (2 hours) From Manhattan by car: Take the George Washington Bridge to the Palisades Parkway. Palisades Parkway to New York Thruway (use Albany exit). Take the New York Thruway to Kingston, NY. After exiting at Kingston take route 209 South to Stone Ridge. In the center of Stone Ridge take 213 West (only can turn right). Go to the top of the hill and you'll see a school (Pine Bush Road). Turn left on to Pine Bush Road and go 1.5 miles on Pine Bush. Buck Road comes in from the right. Turn right on to Buck Road. (At one point along Buck Road you will come to a fork where Chestnut Hill Road comes in. Bear to the LEFT to stay on Buck Road!) Go 2.4 miles on Buck Road. Driveway on left. The Scenic Route by car (the one we take) George Washington Bridge upper level. Stay RIGHT to PALISADES PARKWAY NORTH. After Visitor’s Center (Exit 16), move to left lane. BEAR LEFT ONTO EXIT 18. Follow signs for ROUTE 6W. You will quickly come to a traffic circle. Enter at 6 o’clock and exit at 1 o’clock onto ROUTE 6W. Stay on ROUTE 6W - Go down big mountain - road will have a wall divider - you will see Woodbury Commons and parking lots way down below. At level part, bear RIGHT at overhead signs toward SUFFERN. At traffic light make a Right onto ROUTE 17. In a very short distance you will be taking a RIGHT onto 87 NORTH to ALBANY. After going through the tolls, be sure to stay all the way to the left to head toward Albany. You will stay on 87 for approximately half an hour to EXIT 18 NEW PALTZ. After the toll plaza, you will make a LEFT at the light onto 299. At the next light you will make a RIGHT onto PUTT CORNERS ROAD. After approximately 1.3 miles, make a LEFT on SHIVERTOWN ROAD. Proceed down to a flashing red light and make a RIGHT onto 32. You will stay on 32 for about 5.8 miles to 213. Take a LEFT onto 213 (West) and proceed through the towns of Rosendale and High Falls (about 5.2 miles) to Route 209 (Traffic Light). Turn LEFT onto 209. Go .2 of a mile to SCHOONMAKER ROAD and make a RIGHT onto it. Proceed to the end and make a LEFT onto PINE BUSH. BUCK ROAD comes in from the right. Turn right onto BUCK ROAD.
